This 9-day itinerary starting and ending in Johannesburg, 1 night in Magaliesburg (Gauteng), includes 2 nights at Sun City (North West), 3 nights in the scenic Panorama route in Mpumalanga, 2 nights in the Kruger Park and a night at a Private Game Lodge. As all our itineraries are tailor-made, this tour can be extended to include the Garden Route and/or Cape Town. This tour can be arranged as a "self-drive" or "guided" itinerary.

Tour Itinerary

Clients are met on arrival at Johannesburg International (O.R. Tambo) Airport by our driver. From the airport your first stop will be at Magaliesburg.

Your journey will start at 08h00 to Maropeng at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. From here we will go to the Wonder Caves, the third largest cave chamber in South Africa, on the doorstep of Mogale City. We will continue our journey to Hartebeespoort dam where you can find lots of souvenirs. Once completed we will continue our journey one and a half hours to Sun City. Sun City is a word unto itself and has earned its reputation as Africa's Kingdom of Pleasure. Whatever you want you'll find it at Sun City, from sizzling entertainment, world-class casinos and restaurants to cater for all tastes, to more relaxed poolside venues, quiet places, lush gardens and extensive sporting facilities included two world class golf courses.

Spend the full day at Sun City. Golfers may Join one of the two International champion golf courses - Lost City Country Club and, home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the Garry Player Country Club. Fully equipped health club and spa, squash, tennis and a full range of water sports, hot air ballooning, the Vally of the Waves water park. Booking is essential for the golf and required to be pre-booked upfront. Subject to availability.

Leave Sun City at 09h30 and travel to the "Place where the sun rises" Mpumalanga. The route takes us via the historic towns of Dullstroom, Lydenburg to Pilgrims Rest. Pilgrim's Rest is situated in a historic and unspoiled gold mining village. Proclaimed as a National Monument in 1986, the village has succeeded in preserving the quaint atmosphere of yesteryear. The town composes of authentic buildings dating back to the 19th century. The Hotel was built in 1894 celebrating its 105th birthday this year.

Depart 09h00 towards Graskop to see the Pinnacale Rock, Gods Window, Lisbon Falls, Mac Mac Falls and the bridal Veil. Next stop will take us to the Sudwala Caves from where we will leave to our next stay.

Leave the Hotel at 09h00 and enter the Kruger National Park. An Unforgettable Kruger National Park safari awaits you at Wild Wings Safaris, with excellent Big 5 game viewing. For dinner, a real South African Braai.

Spend another day in the Kruger Park. This part of the day can be spent on bird watching as well as finding all those other animals not seen the previous day. For Dinner, a real South African Potjie.

Exit the Kruger Game Park through Orpen Gate to the only tree-bar. Back on the Panoramic road that that passes through the JG Strydom Tunnel includes: Three Rondawels, Blyde River Canyon and Bourkes Luck Potholes.

We have to take the road back as from where we started our journey, You may be drop off at your hotel or OR Tambo International Airport.
